I have long believed that the greatest problem India faces is that it’s people don’t have a strong sense of pride. We never have shown the passion and support for Hockey, which is our national game. The entire scenario of Indian hockey team would be different if we had shown the same amount of support we do for cricket. Quite surprisingly interest for football have been piqued, even though the entry for India into the world cup is not seeming near and it is not necessary to tell how much we love cricket. You never know whether people need some madness to hang around with or they really admire the game. It is the time for revival of Hockey. A revamp is needed for its renaissance. Considering it to be our national game and side lining the game itself would never be appreciable. It is surely a matter of pride when you can't support your own national game!
